Mr. Speaker I understand that we are under martial law

Apparently, inside the halls of Congress, martial law has already been declared.

The Martial Law talked about by Congressman Burgess refers to a procedure under which a bill in Congress is moved very quickly - bypassing the normal flow - through to a vote without the media and the people of America having much of a chance to find out precisely what is being voted on. This is dictatorial, and the legislation they wanted to pass is dictatorial.
It was by a miracle we won the close vote 228-205. Just several hours earlier I read reports that leaders of both parties had “come to an agreement” and were expecting passage.
I believe they will alter the the proposal somewhat in order to win over several more votes, probably with semi-secret promises to a few select members fo the House. Therefore we must keep up the pressure on our Representatives - tell them to oppose the bailout in ANY form!
