Will the REAL McCain Step Forward

(A message from Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt, Sr. Policy Advisor, U.S.
Dept. of Education during the Reagan Administration)

As a delegate to our state convention this coming weekend we have a
solemn obligation to know the truth about the man who has been anointed
the “presumptive nominee” of our party. Our job is not to be a rubber
stamp for anyone else’s agenda, no matter how “nobly” the cause is
presented. The Republican establishment in Maine is counting on us not
having the documented information on this sheet. It is counting on our
willingness to be told what to think in the same way that the mainstream
media has been telling us what to think throughout this entire election
cycle. We are expected to suspend any other concerns we may have in the
name of “party unity.”

The truth is that a patriot who loves his country makes it an ultimate
priority to be well-educated about the decisions he or she must make.
Unless we have come to understand how dominated by the leftist
military-industrial complex America’s major media has become, and done
some research, we are not prepared to do our duty at the convention.

This letter, supported by many delegates to the Republican Convention,
is literally about saving the party and the nation from a maniacal
neoconservative war monger, who supports a United States presence in
Iraq for 100 years, and who is not really even a Republican!

“War hero” image is a media creation not supported by the facts

McCain graduated 894th of the 899 cadets in his class at the Naval
Academy. Google it. Why would we want someone who was a failure and took
his responsibilities so flippantly as our commander-in-chief?

* McCain was an irresponsible pilot who crashed 6 planes, and started a
major fire on an aircraft carrier through negligent action. Why would we
want someone this reckless in the most-important office on the planet?

* McCain collaborated with the enemy, was given “soft” treatment because
his father was an admiral, and is known as “Songbird McCain” by those
who were imprisoned with him. (http://vietnamveteransagainstmccain.com)
He is the MIA/POW family’s worst enemy for his constant attempts to
belittle their concerns and stifle their inquiries while serving in the
Senate.

McCain ditched his ill wife to marry an heiress when he returned from
Vietnam

Is this the type of morality we Republicans condone? Is this type of
heinous lack of loyalty we want in a President? He also has a track
record of shocking verbal abuse, including screaming profanities against
his Senate Republican colleagues. Senator Thad Cochran, MS, says “The
thought of his being President sends a cold chill down my spine.” Other
Senators relate times when McCain screamed four-letter obscenities right
in their faces in the Senate cloak room, like Dick Shelby, Rick Santorum
or Jim Imhofe. “The man is unhinged,” one senator said. “He is
frighteningly unfit to be commander-in-chief.”

The truth is, John McCain is not even a Republican. He is a phony
stalking horse who is a liberal in disguise. He not only can’t win this
fall because he is so out of step with the majority of Americans and
with the principled stands of Republicanism, but if we support this
person for our nominee, he will likely destroy our party. Consider:
* He was intimately involved in the “Keating 5” Savings & Loan scandal.

* He has been endorsed by the liberal/leftist New York Times.

* He is a big advocate of the extreme “green” global warming scare, and
the economically horrific “solutions” being proposed by people like Al
Gore.

* He has promoted illegal amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.

* His McCain-Feingold Bill has destroyed much of the rights of people to
take part in the political process the way they see fit. This bill
remains un-Constitutional and a major affront to the First Amendment
protections on the right of free speech.

* He is a big-time gun grabber who is an extreme advocate of
restrictions on 2nd Amendment rights.

* He opposes repeal of Roe v. Wade, and opposes a Constitutional
amendment to protect all life.

* He is no fiscal conservative, and he supports raising taxes on Social
Security benefits.

* He continues his aggressive support for the Iraq War, which costs the
U.S. taxpayer $12 billion a month, even though only 34% of Americans
support the war. (According to Paul Craig Roberts, Asst. Secretary of
the Treasury in the Reagan Administration, and vocal opponent of the
Iraq War: 4,538 Americans have died in the war, 29,780 have been
wounded, 300,000 soldiers are suffering from major depression, and
320,000 received brain injuries, all as a result of this
unconstitutional and immoral war.)

We will hear much about “unity” at the Maine State Convention. However,
it is very important that we understand that to unify behind this man is
tantamount to nominating a Democrat. We can vote our consciences or
abstain from voting.

John McCain did poorly in our Maine caucuses. By most estimates he got
fewer than 20% of the delegates to the State Convention coming out of
our caucuses and was soundly trounced by both Romney and Texas
Congressman Ron Paul. McCain did not win a single county in the straw
poll, with 15 counties going to Romney and one (Aroostook) going to Dr.
Paul. McCain has little support nationally…there are never huge rallies
for McCain, unless people are paid to show up. In short, he is a media
creation and the darling of the Trotskyite neoconservative warmongers
who have hijacked our party. He does not support our own platform!

Former Romney supporters who receive this info sheet DO NOT have to
follow the “uncalled for” advice of the Massachusetts governor that you
go over the cliff with support for this unstable man.

DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF OR YOUR VOTE TO BE PROSTITUTED IN THE NAME OF
PARTY UNITY. PUT YOUR COUNTRY FIRST!

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and for being such an
important part of our representative form of government — the envy of
the world!

Liberty, like Christianity, has never been wholly adopted

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

By Leonard E. Read

Liberty, like Christianity, has been tried but never wholly adopted. It isn’t that these ways of life have been found wanting. It is that they have been found difficult and rejected by many. .. To the extent that government takes sides among the citizens-plundering some for the “benefit” of others, granting special privileges-to that extent has government become incapable of performing its legitimate function of protecting the life and livelihood of all citizens equally. It is a self-evident fact that no person or agency can protect the honest fruits of one’s labor while at the same time forcibly taking the fruits of one’s labor. In short, the more government acts aggressively, the less it can act protectively or defensively. “The history of government’s acting aggressively coincides with the history of government. Is there a single instance where government has been limited to the defense of creative energy and its uninhibited exchange? Even in America in 1789-the nearest known approach to strict limitation-slavery and tariffs were acknowledged as appropriate aggressive acts of government. The principle of aggression, once admitted, had either to be denied and destroyed or approved and expanded. While Negro slavery was later denied and destroyed, the principle of government aggression was not stamped out. Some of the aggressive seed remained in embryonic stage; and by 1900, governmental actions were taken which led to the development of the embryo. By 1913 this perverse principle was so thoroughly established that we inscribed on our American banner-proclaimed and adopted as national policy-the Marxian ideal. This Marxian ideal, the Sixteenth Amendment-the progressive income tax-legalized a new slavery in lieu of the Negro slavery earlier disposed of.

It looks as if one of our vice presidential candidates is a true student of history (strangely, it’s not Sarah Palin this time):

If you can’t see what’s wrong with this statement… I really can’t help you. However, Biden’s speech reminded me of another famous speech I know.

“We’re All Socialists Now.”

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

By Christopher Hansen

Jonathan Alter of Newsweek, was on the Rachel Maddow show today. He was describing the federal bailout that “U.S. taxpayers” will now pay for. He said: “We’re all socialists now.”

Mr. Alter went on to state that America has now embraced a form of “European socialism.” For those of you that do not know what European Socialism is let me give you the definition of what it means when there is a merger of state and corporate power.

“Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.” (Benito Mussolini, Encyclopedia Italiana)

Führer Paulson (formerly Secretary of the Treasury) now has total control of the economy because Congress just gave it to him today. No judicial over site will be allowed by law. Yep! You read that correctly. Congress did not allow the courts to hear arguments that it is against the law or that Führer Paulson can do anything unlawful with you former Income Tax payments.  Heil Paulson now has the power to privatize gains and socialize losses. This way the rich can take risks to increase their wealth with the government’s assurance that if their scam goes belly up that you, the “taxpayer” will pay the check. But nothing to worry about. It is just a simple merger of state and corporate power. At least that is what Benito Mussolini called it.

The Religion of Socialism has now officially come out of the closet. You now pay tithing when you file your 1040s. So stop thinking of it as a tax and start being a patriotic fascist. Don’t complain. Cheerfully say Heil Paulson when you file.

‘Heil,’ by the way, means salvation, in German, so Heil Paulson means salvation through Paulson. The bankers and AGI and Fannie and Freddie are certainly saying we were “saved” by Paulson.

So file those 1040s you patriotic fascist adherents.Don’t stand up and say no to fascism. That would be anti-American because we are all socialists now.

Worship that American flag and pledge allegiance to it like the good little American/European socialist you are now.

It can’t happen here. This is America…Right?

“The Attorney General, rather than bringing us together, managed to persuade much of the country that the needed reforms of the PATRIOT ACT were actually the beginning of Fascism.” Richard A. Clarke, former Counter Terrorism Cazr for Clinton and G. W. Bush, from his book Against All Enemies. 2004 AD.

You good little former Christians may want to consider your new savior and start reading your new bible (The Communist Manifesto) because you may have believed you were a Christian but your fruits are now very different. After all…Matt. 12:33. Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

Marx like Jesus Economics as Religion

Economics as Religion

by Robert Nelson

Penn State Press (psupress.org)

Chapter 1

Tenets of Economic Faith

To the extent that any system of economic ideas offers an alternative vision of the “ultimate values,” or “ultimate reality,” that actually shapes the workings of history, economics is offering yet another grand prophesy in the biblical tradition. The Jewish and Christian bibles foretell one outcome of history. If economics foresees another, it is in effect offering a competing religious vision. The prophesies of economics would then be a substitute for the traditional messages of the Bible. Perhaps the biblical God has reconsidered. Perhaps, instead of Jesus, he has now chosen economists to be a new bearer of his message, replacing the word of the Old and New Testaments that has now become outdated for the modern age—as Islam advertised the Koran as a later and more accurate statement of God’s real plans for the world. Perhaps God has decided that the underlying ordering forces of the world, the ultimate reality that will shape the future outcome of history, will truly be economic.

To be sure, for many thinkers, such a message of economic prophesy has not depended on the necessary existence of any god in the hereafter. In this case their belief system results not in a Judeo-Christian heresy, but in an entirely new and secular religion—although one that draws many of its themes from the biblical tradition, now typically reworking them in a less direct and mostly implicit fashion.

A New Alliance - By Dr. Ron Paul

http://www.campaignforliberty.com/blog/?p=582

Friends - please read this new and important piece by Dr. Paul.

The press conference at the National Press Club had a precise purpose. It was to expose, to as many people as possible, the gross deception of our presidential election process. It is controlled by the powerful elite to make sure that neither candidate of the two major parties will challenge the status quo. There is no real choice between the two major parties and their nominees, only the rhetoric varies. The amazingly long campaign is designed to make sure the real issues are ignored. The quotes I used at the press conference from insider Carroll Quigley and the League of Women voters strongly support this contention.

Calling together candidates from the liberal, conservative, libertarian and progressive constituencies, who are all opposed to this rigged process, was designed to alert the American people to the uselessness of continuing to support a process that a claims that one’s only choice is to choose the lesser of two evils and reject a principle vote that might challenge the status quo as a wasted vote.

In both political education and organization, coalitions are worthwhile and necessary to have an impact. “Talking to the choir” alone achieves little. I have always approached political and economic education with a “missionary” zeal by inviting any group in on issues we agree upon.

This opens the door to legitimate discourse with the hope of winning new converts to the cause of liberty. This strategy led to the press conference with the four candidates agreeing to the four principles we believe are crucial in challenging the political system that has evolved over many years in this country.

This unique press conference, despite the surprising, late complication from the Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate, hopefully will prove to be historically significant.

This does not mean that I expect to get Ralph Nader or Cynthia McKinney to become libertarians, nor do they expect me to change my mind on the issues on which we disagree. In the meantime, why can’t we be friends, respectful of each other, and fight the corrupt process from which we suffer, and at the same time champion the four issues that we all agree upon which the two major candidates won’t address?

Many practical benefits can come from this unique alliance. Our cause is liberty —freedom is popular and is the banner that brings people together. Since authoritarianism divides, we always have the edge in an intellectual fight. Once it’s realized that the humanitarian goals of peace and prosperity are best achieved with our views, I’m convinced we win by working with others. Those who don’t want to collaborate are insecure with their own beliefs.

In the past two years at the many rallies where I talked and shook hands with literally thousands of people, I frequently asked them what brought them to our campaign. There were many answers: the Constitution, my consistency, views on the Federal Reserve, the war, and civil liberties. The crowds were overwhelmingly made up of young people.

Oftentimes I welcomed the diverse groups that came, mentioning that the crowd was made up of Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Liberals and Progressives with each group applauding. Even jokingly, I recognized the “anarchists” and that, too, was met with some applause. In conversations, many admitted to having been Democrats and members of the Green Party and supporters of Ralph Nader, yet they came to agree with us on all the issues once the entire philosophy was understood. That’s progress.

Principled people are not shy in participating with others and will defend their beliefs on their merits. Liberals and progressives are willing to align themselves with us on the key issues of peace, civil liberties, debt and the Federal Reserve. That’s exciting and very encouraging, and it means we are making progress. The big challenge, however, is taking on the establishment, and the process that is so well entrenched. But we can’t beat the entrenched elite without the alliance of all those who have been disenfranchised.

Ironically the most difficult group to recruit has been the evangelicals who supported McCain and his pro-war positions. They have been convinced that they are obligated to initiate preventive war in the Middle East for theological reasons. Fortunately, this is a minority of the Christian community, but our doors remain open to all despite this type of challenge. The point is, new devotees to the freedom philosophy are more likely to come from the left than from those conservatives who have been convinced that God has instructed us to militarize the Middle East.

Although we were on the receiving end of ridicule in the reporting of the press conference, I personally was quite satisfied with the results. True revolutions are not won in a week, a month, or even a year. They take time. But we are making progress, and the momentum remains and is picking up. The Campaign for Liberty is alive and well, and its growth and influence will continue. Obviously the press conference could have been even more successful without the last-minute change of heart by the Libertarian Party candidate by not participating. He stated that his support for the four points remains firm. His real reason for not coming, nor letting me know until forty minutes before the press conference started, is unknown to me. To say the least, I was shocked and disappointed.

Yet in the long run, this last-minute change in plans will prove to be of little importance. I’m convinced that problems like this always seem bigger at the moment, yet things usually work out in the end. Recovering from the mistakes and shortcomings of all that we do in this effort is not difficult if the message is right and our efforts are determined. And I’m convinced they are. That’s what will determine our long-term success, not the shortcomings of any one person.

The Libertarian Party Candidate admonished me for “remaining neutral” in the presidential race and not stating whom I will vote for in November. It’s true; I have done exactly that due to my respect and friendship and support from both the Constitution and Libertarian Party members. I remain a lifetime member of the Libertarian Party and I’m a ten-term Republican Congressman. It is not against the law to participate in more then one political party. Chuck Baldwin has been a friend and was an active supporter in the presidential campaign.

I continue to wish the Libertarian and Constitution Parties well. The more votes they get, the better. I have attended Libertarian Party conventions frequently over the years.

In some states, one can be on the ballots of two parties, as they can in New York. This is good and attacks the monopoly control of politics by Republicans and Democrats. We need more states to permit this option. This will be a good project for the Campaign for Liberty, along with the alliance we are building to change the process.

I’ve thought about the unsolicited advice from the Libertarian Party candidate, and he has convinced me to reject my neutral stance in the November election. I’m supporting Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party candidate.

Glenn Beck tells Truth about Federal Reserve Bank

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

Glenn Beck admits that the Federal Reserve Bank is PRIVATE and not a part of the government. Shocking!

“The Federal Reserve Bank, which is not a government institution. They have nothing to do with the federal government. It’s a separate global banking system.”

Dear Team Baldwin;

Yesterday, Independent American Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin spoke at the 2008 Conservative Leadership Convention in Las Vegas, NV. Thank you to everyone who made it out. It was nice to see so many of you that I’d either only talked to on the phone or via e-mail. For those who were not able to attend, I recorded Dr. Baldwin’s speech and will be posting it online soon. It was a great speech and helped reinforce why we need Dr. Chuck Baldwin to be the next president of the United States of America. There are only 43-days left until the November general election. Dr. Baldwin has been interviewed by Lou Dobbs on CNN. He has been interviewed by Dave Burns on Nevada Public Radio. He has been interviewed by Heidi Harris on KDWN radio in Las Vegas. He has been invited to a few events around the state. But we need your help. Tell you friends about Chuck Baldwin. Let them know why you think he is the best candidate to hold the highest office in the land. Put up a yard sign. Get some bumper stickers. The Baldwin/Castle online store is located at https://secure.giftwrapplus.org/b08/EU/cart. Also, write your local newspapers tell them about Chuck Baldwin. We have 43-days to convince America to elect Chuck Baldwin President. We can do it, but only with your help. Will you help us?

If you need some motivation, listen to Dr. Baldwin’s interview on Nevada Public Radio from Friday (http://www.knpr.org/audio2008/mp3/080919_c-baldwin.mp3).
