It’s nice of them to write an article about the IAP, but a few things need to be clarified.
First, they did not make mention of Christopher Hansen, who is also Dan’s brother. During Chris’ four year tenure as state IAP Chairman, the party started experiencing the phenomenol growth which influenced Amy Kingsley and City Life to write the story. I recently said this same thing to an acquaintance that Chris’ tireless and relentless efforts leading the party and fighting for freedom cannot be forgotten!
Also, I don’t think the IAP is a hard right party. It is conservative on money related issues and liberal on civil rights. It is not true that the party is “against” drugs and alcohol. This is supposed to be a free country and so people ought to be able to choose to use alcohol if they want to, as long as they don’t drive drunk or otherwise imperil other people.
Alcohol is a drug; tobacco could be considered a drug. These substances are definitely more harmful than a silly drug like marijuana. I personally don’t consume any of those things, but that is a choice that I make with my free agency.
