Beekeepers

Thank you for being a bee keeper :)

Thank you for this video….I was heartened to know it had been made VERY recently.
I spent my life after grad school for 10 years dealing with the issue of genetically engineered food, mostly volunteering, then directing efforts, finding funding where we could….testifying in front of the FDA under supervision of armed guards, educating the public, demonstrating, organizing demonstrations with and for various organizations fighting GMO’s, going to DC to meeting with senators and reps who I thought might listen.

The last thing I did before I came west was to organize a panel at Greenfest in Chicago, with Former Senator Carol Moseley Braun, and other local experts, on the future of the food supply and GMO’s….hosted by an organization I co-founded, BioVision2020.org.
I remember one of my last converstions was with an expert about the Bee situation….in 2008…just when it was “hitting the news”.

Watching this has perhaps helped this battle-weary “soldier” want to try to find a way to add this as a link on the site, and/or find the funding to keep the site at least updated with stuff like this.

BioVision2020.org still is a loosely affiliated group of individuals and groups working on this issue within the context of the greater sacred web of life.

The key is the garden…the one we grow outside….( or in greenhouse as the case may be) and the one we grow inside…our hearts, right? :)

Ignacio Chapela….the Berkely professor who discovered that native land races of corn in Mexico could be contaminated by GMO corn at a distance of over 300 miles, and who fought for his tenure at Berkeley under duress from Novartis corporation, said in the movie ( Highly recommend, called The Future of Food) that GMO’s are not only a physical monoculture…that squashes out diversity….they are a symptom of the monoculture of the mind as well.

If everyone has a garden to grow their own food, knows how to grow their own food..and can share their surplus, …..growing the flowers that the bees love….hosting bee houses on their property….( if you want more info, please email me) …as Rob’s video says….it WILL save us, and the world.

Support those local farmers ferociously !!! :)

Thanks for posting and thank you for the chance to share with you all,
Blessings
