IAP Files List with Secretary of State
John Wagner, Chairman of the Independent American Party, will file the initial list of nominated candidates with the Secretary of State on Monday morning, March 1, 2010.
“This is a great year for the Independent American Party. Voters are disaffected with the Twin Parties. That’s why the Independent American Party is growing while the Democrats and Republicans have lost registered voters,†said John Wagner.
Thirty-five candidates were nominated at the State Convention held at the Red Lion in Elko, Nevada February 26th and 27th.
Tim Fasano of Fernley will challenge Harry Reid for U.S. Senate. Floyd Fitzgibbons will run for Governor, while his son Ryan Fitzgibbons will run for Lt. Governor. Joel Hansen is the candidate for Attorney General. Warren Markowitz will run for State Controller.
Jonathan Hansen will be the candidate for Congressional District 1. Russell Best of Stagecoach will challenge Dean Heller for District 2. Scott Narter will run for Congress in District 3. There are also many State Senate, Assembly, and County office candidates. The list follows.
“According to the Nevada Revised Statute (NRS 293.17) the candidate list may be amended. The Independent American Party plans to add several additional candidates,†stated John Wagner.
In addition, the Independent American Party elected State Executive Committee officers including: John Wagner State Chairman, Floyd Fitzgibbons Vice-Chairman, Stan England Secretary, Lynn Chapman Treasurer, National Committeemen Jonathan Hansen and Ike Yochum, At-Large members Brad Barnhill and Tim Fasano, and Joel Hansen as Party Counsel.
