Since 1978, Joel Hansen has been standing up for the People of the United States and Nevada. Formally a prosecutor for the Clark County District Attorney, Joel specializes in defending citizens that have fallen under the thumb of the Internal Revenue Service and fellow Nevadans against burdensome tax law.

Joel challenged the Nevada Supreme Court when it threw out the 2/3 requirement to raise taxes.  He fought the IRS in Federal Court to uphold the rights of Nevada Citizens to be paid in honest money – - gold and silver United States dollars- -instead of worthless Federal Reserve notes.

This year following the Federal Governments gross infringement of the U.S. Constitution and affront to the Sovereignty of the State of Nevada as a result of the passage of ObamaCare, Joel Hansen took action while our Attorney General stood idly by. Joel joined other concerned citizens forming the group Peoplev.us and drafted a Mass Action suit against the Federal Government of the United States for violations to the U.S. Constitution.

As one of the founders of the Independent American Party of Nevada, Nevada’s Original Tea Party, Joel stands in the gap to protect all of Nevada’s citizens against Big Party Interests.

Recognized by his peers, in 1994 Joel was rated AV by Martindale Hubbel. (“A” signifies the highest level of legal ability, and “V” stands for very high ethics.) Joel was named to the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers in 1999.

Unlike his opponents, Joel Hansen has the experience it takes to defend The State of Nevada from the Federal Government that becomes more blatant everyday in trampling our rights.
