In one study published last year in the journal Animal Cognition, researchers rigged some tests designed to fool dogs into falsely alerting and others designed to trick handlers into thinking a package contained narcotics (it didn’t). Of the 144 total searches performed, the dogs falsely alerted 123 times. More interesting, the dogs were twice as likely to falsely alert to packages designed to trick their handlers than those designed to trick the dogs.

April 2011 Officer of the Month
I would like to congratulate Officer Michael Reichert for being named Officer of the Month for April 2011. Sergeant Chuck Mackin nominated him for this award.
Officer Reichert continually reflects the proactive and innovative philosophy of law enforcement followed by the Collinsville Police Department. He has demonstrated this by his aggressive approach to drug trafficking in the area.
Officer Reichert had 166 total incidents with 6 arrests and 7 citations in 13 working days. In addition to this he had 3 self initiated significant incidents that are very worthy of praise.
On 4-15-11 Officer Mike Reichert was performing proactive drug interdiction at Fed Ex and discovered a suspicious package. The package contained two pounds of cannabis. A controlled delivery was initiated with the assistance of another agency and the package was delivered to a Madison County address where two suspects were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis.
Again on 4-21-11 Officer Reichert was at Fed Ex again and discovered another suspicious package. The package contained two pounds of cannabis. Another controlled delivery was initiated by the Collinsville Police Department. The Package was delivered locally and this time three suspects were charged with Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis.
Astonishingly on 4-26-11 Officer Reichert again discovered a suspicious package while at Fed Ex. The package contained one pound of cannabis. An investigation was opened and two suspects identified. Charges are pending against the two suspects.
Officer Reichert is very deserving of recognition for his diligent work this past month and I again congratulate him for being chosen as Officer of the Month for April 2011.
Yes indeed.Another Nazi working for big Pharma (even if he does not understand this) and toward the destruction of the Constitution.
Let me ask a question. If a man does good for 360 days in a row, feeding the hungry and healing the sick, doing charity work and helping others and then on day 361 he violates the law by shoplifting or speeding would a Cop still arrest him or give him a traffic ticket?
When Officer Reichert violated the Constitution in this case he violated his oath of office. He because a tyrant. He is more dangerous than a drug dealer because he violated the law under COLOR OF LAW with a badge and with support of his fellow Tyrant officers. The problem is that Cops can’t see that they are criminals, just like drug dealers or even worse because they do it with a badge, when they violate the Constitution. Just like the nearly perfect man that shoplifts any good that Officer Reichert did in the past of future makes no difference in this obvious case of violations of the very Constitution he swore and oath to uphold and defend.
Until Cops understand that they are CRIMINALS when they violate their oath of office and trample upon the rights of citizens then tyranny will be the occupation of the Police.
I can only pray that someday we Citizens will be able to hold Cops like Officer Reichert to same standard and same judgment they give to We the People without badges. And when we do we will fill the prisons with badge wearing Cops. After proper due process, of course. Unless of course we treat the Cops as they have treated us.
