Well, the Marchellettas’ travails are finally over. It’s not perfect justice by any stretch, but we’re all thrilled with the outcome. We had a final hearing this past Wednesday, September 12th, and all charges against Jerry Marchelletta, Jr. were dismissed with prejudice. Jerry walked out of court with his head held high, completely vindicated, a free man. (Mr. Marchelletta, Sr. pled to a single misdemeanor and will pay a $25 fine . . . that’s it).
After 12-plus years of unjust persecution at a cost to the taxpayers of millions of dollars, the Marchellettas and their Circle Company are vindicated. I’ve attached Bill Rankin’s article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution along with the web link.
Please feel free to let people know about this. It ain’t right that this wonderful family had to suffer through all of this, but nevertheless, the shocking investigative and prosecutorial misconduct that haunted this classic American success story family were exposed, and the Marchellettas have closure.
