The following is a copy of the complaint sent to internal affairs of the Lexington police department, 859-258-3625;
Recently I was harassed and given a citation by a detective named Ron Arnold and his partner officer Overton. I sent in a complaint against them. Now in retaliation for the complaint I made against them they have decided to harass me and my landlord by sending a letter to my landlord hoping he will evict me. Is this how all people who get a ticket are treated? Is this type of harassment done to all people who complain about a cop? Is this how cops treat all disabled people who get a ticket? If I had a job, would det. Ron Arnold and his partner take it upon themselves to try and get me fired, as they have taken it upon themselves to try and have me evicted? Once they write a ticket, or citation, is it the responsibility of the police to continue to harass the people they gave it to? Is it the job of the police department to harass disabled people weeks after the ticket has been issued? If this is typical activity of det. Ron Arnold and his partner officer Overton, why are they allowed to be on the police force? Why are they going above and beyond to continue their harassment towards me? What will they do to harass me next? Will they wait outside my door to shoot me? Trying to have me evicted is totally un-necessary. How many other people have they harassed like they are currently doing to me? How many disabled people have they done this to? How much more harassment will I have to endure from these two officers because I sent in this complaint? Will I be shot and killed for sending in this complaint? I believe they will, and now have to live in fear. Fear that their next level of harassment will cost me my life. Why are these two police officers allowed to harass people in such a manner? Will they threaten my family next? Will they attempt to destroy the lives of my family members as they are currently trying to destroy my life? When they shoot and kill me in cold blood, will they be given a medal? A raise? How am I supposed to sleep at night knowing that these two officers are getting paid to harass me weeks after a ticket, or citation, was issued? They have once again proven that not one police officer should ever be trusted at anytime. These police officers are not the type of people who should ever be allowed to carry a gun in our society, much less be allowed to be a cop. They are sworn to protect and serve the people of the community, not harass, humiliate, and try to destroy the lives of people in the community, as they are currently doing. My landlord’s name is Muhammid and he can be reached at the Catalina Motel, Bryan Station Inn, or the Sunset Motel. If I am forced to move, will these two police officers be allowed to also harass my new landlord? Will they follow me to my new address and continue their harassment? Will they be allowed to harass me forever? I am convinced that they will not stop until they have totally destroyed my life, making me totally homeless, and forcing me to live out of my vehicle, or until I am dead by their hands. Do they hate all white disabled people? Or are they just targeting and harassing low income people who are living in muslim owned motels? Do all cops show this type of hatred and racism towards the public? Based on the ongoing actions of these two officers, Det. Ron Arnold and officer Overton, I now believe they do, and so has everyone else that is now aware of what these two officers are permitted to do against the people of this community. As someone I recently explained the situation to has said, ” As long as these two officers are allowed to be cops, no one should ever trust any cop at any time.”
I know what you are talking about. I am also disabled and I have trouble finding work because of my disability. I finally found a job but unfortunately it was for the New York Police department. I was attempting to become a latent fingerprint examiner. I was enrolled in the training class where I was immediately harassed by the fingerprint class teacher (a man who I believe was a lieutenant). He harassed me the three months of the training class. All of his harassment had the same time theme. He suggested that I wouldn’t be there long because I would be harassed by the people I worked for until they got rid of me. Despite his continued attempts to humiliate and embarrass me I somehow got past the class. Somehow I ended up with the worst shift- the graveyard shift. There I was subjected to the worst treatment any employee could ever face. The supervisors all made fun of me and basically isolated me from the other workers. These guys were lieutenants. sergeants and captains who acted like eighth grade bullies. They made derogatory remarks directly related to my disablility. One supervisor even made the statement “Don’t send me this crippled guy send me a big healthy guy”. This same satanic individual sent me home at 4:oo am in the morning for “horseplay”. They didn’t even care if I got murdered on the train at that hour. A worker showing more compassion than these demons took the subway with me at least part of the way. Imagine that a severely handicapped man goes to work and ends up killed on the New York subway at 4 am because a bully supervisor sent him home for horseplay. There is a lot of stuff that I can write about but to make a long story short they pissed me off royally and I started to answer them back and of course I got canned for “insubordination”. The shift commander branded me a troublemaker who was a threat and basically barred me from the building. Cops are evil. This happened quite a few years ago and I still remember it like it was yesterday. Cops are worse than criminals- most criminals commit crimes for some time of financial gain. These evil bullies tortured me for the sole purpose of getting enjoyment from the suffering of another human being. I remember when I left that building for the last time thinking are these people really that evil. Now google crime and cops and you get your answer. Cops who regularly rape, steal and yes even murder. And these are not just rookie or beginner cops. These guy are sergeants and lieutenants even police chiefs. So I got my answer. Yes they are that evil. I would never call a cop for anything unless I absolutely had to. I think they are evil and I don’t trust them. None of them.
Speaking as a former enforcement officer I would say this harassment is not an exception; its the norm. And yes, when you complain about a cop you better believe it can affect, of effectively end, your life… you will be immediately branded “hostile to law enforcement” (thats a power all cops have and don’t have to have a shred of evidence to back it up) and that leads every officer you encounter in the future to be on-guard, generally with a hand on their gun, waiting for any excuse to use it. The only thing worse than getting treated this way by a cop is to be a cop yourself, or work for them as in some cases, where you cannot evade their constant harassment. I like to think I was a “good cop” who used my authority only to make the highways safer and tried to be an advocate for the safe, responsible drivers out there on the road… I learned the hard way you cannot change the world and if you are not diabled when you start out, you will be when your “Division” gets through with you if you tend to be reasonable and fair as opposed to those in charge who want to see you be just another abusive jerk to the public. Hang in there and take some comfort in the fact that these jerks one day will meet their maker and their silly badge won’t mean squat come judgement day. I like to believe God has a very special place for abusive figures of authority… and its not in Heaven.
