By Joshua Hansen

In our current state of Fascism/ Socialism and unconstitutional acts by both Democrats and Republicans if it did come down to open rebellion who would we shoot? Who is the enemy?
Do you know?

The founders didn’t fill “them” full of lead. They fought the soldiers of the king, and they didn’t drag the ignorant from their homes and execute them. It was a different time with different circumstances. Do you think society today would read and debate the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers? Is it morally acceptable to force freedom on a society that doesn’t want it? Isn’t that a contradiction?

Freeing yourself personally is only the first step, simply because it makes no sense to proclaim freedom if you yourself aren’t willing to make the sacrifices necessary to live that way. However, once you’re there, then what?

In a society such as ours, who is most responsible for infringing on my rights? The President or the people that empowered the President. The President or the people that demand federally socialized healthcare? Is it the President or the people and soldiers that voluntarily join the armed forces who support the war? Although it applies in ANY government, in any remotely democratic government it applies more: the people are the government and without their consent, the leaders/ servants/ whatever cannot accomplish anything. If Congress passed Social Security and everyone simply didn’t get a number, what would have become of the program? What if they declared a war and no one showed up?

The founders fought a monarch and they fought a system where the prevailing philosophy was the idea that all sovereignty extended from one man: the king. As a result, it was easy to focus aggression and responsibility—particularly in the case of the colonies which had no representation in parliament. The king was directly responsible. He wasn’t elected and their system didn’t acknowledge individual sovereignty.

We fight a system of “we the people.” When we established a country of the people, by the people and for the people, the responsibility all fell on the people. We the People became the sovereignty. That’s the defining point of sovereignty: responsibility. So who is responsible for the terrible machine that’s been built to control our actions and dominate our minds?

I’ve see the enemy and it’s us.

So it’s one thing to say we need to make people mortally accountable for infringing on our rights, but who are you going to shoot at? Every single person who voted for George W Bush is, in their own way, accountable for every last bit of death, torture, mayhem and tyranny brought about by his administration. Those who continue to defend and condone his actions as good, patriotic and necessary are further culpable.

Do I stalk through right wing evangelical churches with an assault rifle and hold these people accountable?

Do I set up with a sniper rifle outside a retirement home and hold the members of AARP accountable for stealing the wealth and lifeblood of my generation?

Do I enter a union meeting with a shotgun and start holding people accountable for pushing programs that interfere with my freedom to contract and potentially interfere with my healthcare?

Gunpowder and lead isn’t the answer anymore because while we face tyranny that is far more egregious than the founders did, the methods of its implementation are entirely different. The democratic nature of our government has transformed tyranny from the whim and caprice of a single tyrant or oligarchy into the crushing weight of the collective self interest and avarice of the society at large. Our elected officials are nothing but the avatars of this society. They’re a reflection of what America really is: greedy, selfish, shallow, slothful, barbaric, lying, cheating, stealing and hungry for authority without responsibility. That is right. It is the fault of every registered Democrat and Republican. It is also the fault of every American that does not work against Fascism and Socialism. It is the fault of every person that has a Social Security Number, get a Drivers license, joins the military, joins the police etc. etc.

How terrible is a society that places the faces of the venerated founding members on the bank notes they so totally dispised?

The sort of insurrection that was typical of old revolutions simply cannot and will not work in our current societal context. (And that’s without taking into account the realities of the modern world where none of us are self sufficient farmers and probably couldn’t survive without an operational supermarket.) The only thing that’s going to bring about major change at this point is a catastrophe, but it won’t be at the hands of a small band of revolutionaries, despite what constantly parroting Samuel Adams’ famous quote would lead some people to believe.

The only quote by the founders that still gives me any hope, and yet simultaneously terrifies me is this:

“[C]an the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with his wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever…” — Thomas Jefferson

I do not know when that justice will wake from its slumber, but I do know that every day that passes only increases the blood that will be spilled when the reckoning comes.

It seems to me that the only thing left to do is to be true to ourselves, fight any battles we can, take every small victory we can and plan for the day when it’s time to rebuild. This building is going to have to tumble before something new can be built in its place though—and even then, there’s no guarantee that whatever is newly erected in its place will be more free or more just. So, when it comes down, if we haven’t analyzed what killed the system we had before us beyond patriotic platitudes and fortune cookie philosophy, we’re doomed to enter the same cycle anyway.

The question that tantalizes my mind more than any other is: how to you build a society that isn’t caught up in the age old cycle of freedom -> prosperity -> class division through greed -> tyranny? The Constitution and the works of our forefathers are a good place to start, but given where we stand now it’s clear that their work was just the beginning and certainly isn’t complete.

Hmmm….. I think you’re right, Christopher. I believe I don’t see a requirement either under federal law to actually return the census form–it’s only a violation of federal law to refuse or neglect to answer questions! ha ha (See Title 13, Section 221)

Now, census workers might still come to your house, and, in that case, it appears that one would then be required by Title 13, Section 221 to answer questions asked. HOWEVER, subsection (a) only applies if the questions are asked by an “authorized officer or employee.” You could have some REAL fun with this one.

When hired to work for the Census Bureau, employees must sign a Sworn Affidavit of Nondisclosure (of private or confidential information). How many census workers walking around have a copy of a signed, sworn affidavit, showing their oaths of non-disclosure so we can determine if they are “authorized officers or employees?” I’d be surprised if there were any at all.

Below is a copy of Section 221, the census oath of non-disclosure, and some upcoming key dates regarding the census form.

It’s been a while since I’ve penned (or typed) anything political. I figured I’d share this with a few people because I’m trying to get back into the habit of annihilating the utterly ignorant and useless.

I hate Republican shills. So when one of them says to me:

The commander in chief has the power to go into a military action. He doesn’t have to declare war. He does have the power to send troops whereever he wants and for whatever length of time. it is Congress who declares war and provides the funding for the war and/or military action. Therefore, the Rep. Prez did not breach the laws, he used them to his benefit and the rest of the country convinced the congress to declare and provide funding. It was an excellent political campaign.

I am forced to respond with wit, research, common sense, intelligence and everything else these people lack at every level:

——————————————————————————–

So, “[t]he commander in chief has the power to go into a military action.” Really?

Let’s take a moment and look at what the constitution actually says:

“The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States;”

Whereas, you say: “He does have the power to send troops whereever he wants and for whatever length of time.”

I don’t see that in there anywhere. Like most warmongers, you read way too much into “Commander in Chief” without actually considering the framework which that title and its duties and powers exist within or what “actual Service of the United States” means. So, let’s move from Article II back to Article I which reads:

“[The Congress shall have Power To] To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;”

If the president can simply use the military as his personal chess set and the only option congress has is to cut funding, why bother even mentioning a declaration of war at all? It would render the notion of declaring war “mere surplusage,” legally speaking, and when it comes to interpreting law, anyone worth their salt knows that it is always presumed that any section of a statute or law is there because the legislature meant to put it there.

(And this is without getting into the gross constitutional violations the lack of real state militias are and the existence of an Air Force is.)

The president can’t quarter troops in my house. Why? The third amendment limits doesn’t all for that. This means “Commander in Chief” isn’t carte blanche to just do whatever you want with the military until congress cuts off the funds. Such a view of presidential powers would make Madison roll over in his grave. (Something he does every single day under that huge obelisk at Montpelier.)

Now, with the specifics of the constitution covered, let’s see what Bouvier’s Law Dictionary has to say about what a war is (and if you don’t know what Bouvier’s Law Dictionary is there isn’t even a point to discussing the constitutionality of something with you):

“To legalize a war it must be declared by that branch of the government entrusted by the constitution with this power.”

A war is “A contention by force; or the art of paralysing the forces of an enemy.” and “War is not only an act, but a state or condition, for nations are said to be at war not only when their armies are engaged, so as to be in the very act of contention, but also when, they have any matter of controversy or dispute subsisting between them which they are determined to decide by the use of force, and have declared publicly, or by their acts, their determination so to decide it.”

We’re at war. The “conflict” is a war, just like Korea and Vietnam were. They were undeclared wars, but whether you label them “military campaigns” or “police actions” or “peacekeeping missions” or some other ridiculous term to try to snake out of proper constitutional protections, it doesn’t change reality. A rose by any other name…

All branches of government have a duty to uphold and defend the constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic. Just because one branch totally fails in its duty (Congress) doesn’t mean another (The President) is made right by acting on it.

If Bush actually cared about the constitution he would have asked congress to simply declare war. Why wouldn’t they? They voted for the USA PATRIOT Act without a hitch. Seeing as they have no issue with continued funding, I’m sure they would have made the declaration. However, they simply didn’t. Why? Because virtually no one in the Federal government cares about the constitution except when its politically expedient. It’s viewed as an obstacle to be dodged and avoided rather than a cornerstone of our nation. The fact that something like declaring war is so casually ignored tells you everything you need to know about den of thieves we’ve placed in power in Washington DC. (Then and now.)

We’re in a war. Bush put us there. It hasn’t been declared. It’s unconstitutional. Period. Not that this particular incident touches on the long list of unconstitutional treachery we received from Bush… and Clinton… and Bush… and Reagan… and Carter… and Ford… and Nixon… and Johnson… and Kennedy… and Eisenhower… and Truman… and Roosevelt… (and I certainly wouldn’t want to leave our the current traitor in office.)

But hey, why get caught up in the actual moral and ethical implications of an action when you can try to justify the tyrannical behavior of your own party by simply spiriting it away with a legal argument that is as trite as it is incorrect? Such tactics have no place in the realm of reality or objectivity, which are the only realms I deal in.

——————————————————————————–

Check mate.

Stupid, stupid shills. The most depressing aspect of my current political understanding is that until people like the above cease to exist in such quantities as they do—whether it be a plague or a financial collapse or a serious leap in human evolution brought on by something ethereal or extraterrestrial—freedom will remain dead. The community at large doesn’t want it.

How to do make a society free that doesn’t want to be?

Right now, a handful of Fed-loving U.S. Senators, led by Bob Corker (R-TN), Richard Shelby (R-AL), Chris Dodd (D-CT) and Judd Gregg (R-NH), are reportedly working to rewrite from the Financial Reform Bill to strip out Audit the Fed and actually EXPAND the Fed’s power over banks, lending and money.

I need you to contact your senators today with an urgent message: Audit the Fed and DON’T increase the Fed’s power.

As you know, Audit the Fed is currently in H.R. 4173, a financial “reform” package that has passed the House.

The Senate will unveil its version soon, which means you and I have to work fast.

In addition to stripping out transparency and accountability, the Senate version is set to grant the Fed broad NEW powers over our economy by putting the Consumer Financial Protection Agency under the Fed’s purview.

Seriously? The same Fed that won’t tell us where our trillions of dollars went is going to be put in charge of “consumer protection?”

It would be funny if it weren’t so dangerous.

You and I must turn up the heat on the Senate TODAY.

Please contact Senator John Ensign and Senator Harry Reid at once!

Of course, as you know, over two thirds of the House of Representatives, almost a third of the Senate and nearly 80% of the American people support a FULL Audit of the Federal Reserve.

So the establishment has no choice but to attempt to fight us in secret.

That’s why they’re trying every trick in the book to make sure they kill a full-scale Audit of the Fed.

And that’s why it has never been more important that you call Senator John Ensign at 202-224-6244 and Senator Harry Reid at 202-224-3542 and DEMAND that they withdraw their support for ANY effort to strip the bill of the Audit, and oppose all efforts to grant the Fed more power under the guise of so-called “reform.”

It’s clear that passage of this bill would pretty much guarantee that the FED is never audited, allowing the banksters to continue to rob and loot the American people.

And this sounds like something taken directly out of the Ben Bernanke playbook.

You see, Ben Bernanke and his buddies have been claiming the need for Fed “independence” for some time now.

But what they’re really talking about is independence from accountability…

…Independence to keep printing money out of thin air without any oversight from the American people, further destroying our savings and wiping out the middle class.

That’s why it’s vital you take action IMMEDIATELY.

Please call Senator John Ensign at 202-224-6244 and Senator Harry Reid at 202-224-3542 and demand that they stand with the nearly 80% of Americans who support a FULL audit of the Federal Reserve.

You and I are now very close to allowing the American people to have the first ever COMPLETE audit of the Federal Reserve, and without your efforts, Ben Bernanke and his cronies would have nothing to worry about.

But I’m afraid if you and I don’t act right away, all of our efforts up until now will be rendered useless.

And that’s something I’m not going to sit idly by and allow to happen.

If we’re going to stop this attempt to gut Audit the Fed, we must act before it’s too late.

So please, right now, call Senator John Ensign at 202-224-6244 and Senator Harry Reid at 202-224-3542 and demand that they support a FULL audit of the Fed and OPPOSE all attempts to broaden the Fed’s power.

And if you can, please make your most generous contribution to help Campaign for Liberty alert millions of Americans to this battle.

But most importantly, please contact Senator John Ensign and Senator Harry Reid TODAY.

Sincerely,
John Tate
President

P.S. Fed-loving Senators are working behind closed doors to strip Audit the Fed out of the Financial Reform Bill while granting the Fed even more power.

That’s why it’s vital you IMMEDIATELY call Senator John Ensign at 202-224-6244 and Senator Harry Reid at 202-224-3542 and demand they stand with the nearly 80% of Americans who support a FULL audit of the Federal Reserve.

And if you can, please make a generous contribution to help with our efforts.

Three Independent American Party candidates will be filing with the Secretary of State in Carson City on Wednesday, March 10 at 9am. The three candidates include: John Wagner for Secretary of State, Merritt “Ike” Yochum for Washoe State Senate District 4, and Cody Quirk for Capital Senate District.

The Independent American Party Candidate List filed with the Secretary of State now contains forty-eight candidates which is many more than any year since 2002 when founder Dan Hansen was in a fatal truck accident. We anticipate that we may exceed the record of 50 candidates set in 2002.

“We have had numerous candidates contact us and ask to be approved to run as Independent Americans. Many of our candidates are running for local offices where they have an excellent chance of winning. People are looking for an honest alternative to the Twin Party’s failure to represent the people,” stated John Wagner State Chairman of the Independent American Party and candidate for Secretary of State. “Our party represents going back to the basics of limited Constitutional government, which leads to economic prosperity.”

The Lemba have many customs and regulations that tally with Jewish tradition.
